Adult Interpersonal Process Groups

An Interpersonal Process Group is a place where group members focus on their relationships with one another.  Through the active sharing of personal experiences and self-reflective practices, each participant is presented with the time and space to improve their interpersonal relationship skills. You will likely learn new coping mechanisms and interpersonal relationship skills that can lead to better friendships and relationships, which can result in a more fulfilling life.

Topics that could be addressed include:

  • The inability to form close, meaningful, or long-lasting relationships

  • Feelings of loneliness

  • The struggle to directly communicate thoughts, feelings, and needs

  • Anxiety in social situations

  • The need to please others

  • Susceptibility to being easily controlled in relationships

  • Feelings of anger, frustration, or dissatisfaction in relationships

  • Low self-esteem

  • Trust and/or vulnerability issues

  • Reliance on substances to feel confident or relaxed in social situations
